“Rural communities in our area faced unique workforce needs even before the COVID-19 pandemic. I’m pleased the Department of Labor has directed workforce investments to Northeast Tennessee, which couldn’t have come at a better time. These grants will help First Tennessee Development District continue addressing the region’s unique needs, stabilize the economy as businesses continue to reopen, and stimulate long-term economic growth.”
