Do you have a Sustainable and Solidarity Development Booklet (LDDS) and would like to make a donation to an actor in the social and solidarity economy (ESS)? A decree published in the Official Journal on May 31, 2020 allows you to do so from October 1, 2020. This decree also specifies the terms of allocation of donations.

Initially scheduled for June 1, 2020, the possibility of making a free donation to a social and solidarity economy company with its LDDS had been postponed to October 1, 2020. This measure was taken because of the health crisis and to allow establishments distributing the booklet to carry out the required IT developments. Until then, however, it was possible to make a donation to SSE companies from your bank account.

The decree also enacts the possibility of giving to several beneficiaries as well as directly from the passbook without going through a current account.

Reminder: The LDDS, reserved for taxpayers (and with exceptions for adults), has a rate of remuneration net of income tax and social security contributions of 0.50% since February 1, 2020. Its payment limit is € 12,000. The sums paid are centralized at 60% by the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) and the rest is kept by the banks which must use it to finance SMEs, the energy transition or the reduction of the climate footprint, and the social and solidarity economy sector.
