For 20 years, the Central Archive of the Russian Emergencies Ministry has carefully selected and stored all the unique and significant pages of the department’s history. The archival service of the Ministry was established on October 1, 2000 to preserve information of great social importance.

The oldest document in the custody of the departmental archive is dated 1908. The archive is constantly updated with important documents. Premises for new acquisitions have already been prepared. The funds of the Central Archive, of which there are already 350, find shelter not only for important documents on the activities of the Russian Emergencies Ministry – when forming the funds, the archive employees also pay special attention to the documentation of the period of the Great Patriotic War.

In his congratulations, Minister of Emergency Situations of Russia Yevgeny Zinichev noted the importance of the archive’s work to preserve the history of the formation of the Russian rescue service and preserve the traditions, the history of generations of firefighters and rescuers in our country. Evgeny Zinichev wished the staff and veterans of the Central Archive of the EMERCOM of Russia good health and success in their hard and noble work for the benefit of the Russian Federation.
