In connection with the resumption of regular direct flights between Moscow and Seoul from September 27, 2020, the Russian Foreign Ministry informs that since April 13, 2020, the Republic of Korea has temporarily suspended the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Korea on the abolition of visa requirements. In this regard, the entry of citizens of the Russian Federation into the territory of the Republic of Korea is carried out only with a valid visa. To obtain a visa, you should contact the Korean consular offices located in the Russian Federation.

When entering the territory of the Republic of Korea, Russian citizens should take into account that persons arriving on a short-term visit, as well as those who do not have a permanent place of residence, undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine at state observatories. At the same time, accommodation is paid by citizens independently (the cost of stay is about USD 110-120 per day). Citizens entering the Republic of Korea on long-term visas (having a foreigner’s registration card) are subject to 14-day self-isolation at their place of residence and must inform the Korean competent authorities on a daily basis about their state of health by phone, as well as through the special mobile application “Self-Quarantine Safety and Protection App “.

More detailed and updated information on the procedure for entering the territory of the Republic of Korea can be found on the official website of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Korea.
