In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, join us for a second Transcribe-a-thon for our crowdsourcing campaign, Herencia: Centuries of Spanish Legal Documents. This all-virtual event is hosted by the Law Library of Congress, and is in collaboration with By the People, the Hispanic Division, and the African, Latin American and Western European Division.
This also marks the release of phase two, which comprises another third of the total collection and will include seven new projects with close to 900 additional unique documents.
We will hold two WebEx office hour sessions with demonstrations on how to transcribe the collection and to answer any questions volunteers may have. There will be staff from the Law Library of Congress and the Hispanic Division assisting volunteers in English and Spanish! To register for either of our sessions, please visit our Eventbrite page.
