The partnership was published in the edition of this Wednesday (09/30) in the Official Gazette of the Union. The initiative is part of a set of actions of the Pasta developed spatially for 2020 that was defined as International Year of Agrotourism and Rural Tourism by the World Tourism Organization For the Minister of Tourism, Marcelo Álvaro Antônio, Rural and Nature Tourism is a promising way to overcome the effects of the pandemic. “In this way, we reinforce our natural vocations, such as Agriculture and Tourism. The agreement, which lasts for 24 months, has the objective of promoting the strengthening of family farming in tourism by encouraging the promotion and commercialization of family farming products and services in tourism. “Some projections on the resumption of post-pandemic tourism demonstrate the growth of domestic tourism, short trips, where people will seek contact with nature, activities and outdoor experiences among friends and family. Rural Tourism represents an alternative income and job creation for the countryside and it is for this purpose that we work in this segment ”, commented the National Secretary for Development and Competitiveness of the Ministry of Tourism, William França. According to MTur, Turismo Rural is a set of tourist activities developed in rural areas, committed to agricultural production, adding value to products and services, rescuing and promoting the cultural and natural heritage of the community. The growth of Rural Tourism represents an alternative income for the countryside, helps to stabilize the local economy and creates direct and indirect businesses and jobs. Agrotourism is also a generator of environmental benefits by encouraging the management, conservation and recovery of native fauna and flora. “Tourism is extremely important for family farming in the world and especially in Brazil. This cooperation will bring family farming closer to Rural Tourism. We have huge potential in the area of ​​gastronomic tourism and also in Rural Tourism and in our opinion these are trends that are here to stay ”, evaluated the secretary of Family Agriculture and Cooperatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, Fernando Henrique Kohlmann Schwanke. Several Pasta initiatives for the sector include the inclusion of rural producers and family farmers in the Tourism Law and, subsequently, in the Registration System for Tourist Service Providers – CADASTUR, aiming at mapping these producers as well as bringing them closer to public health policies. tourism developed by MTur.
