The commission under the leadership of the commander of the Airborne Forces, Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov, began checking the troops in the Pskov Guards Airborne Assault Formation.

The check will take place in two stages. First of all, formations and military units from Pskov, Ivanovo, Tula, Kostroma, Ryazan, Naro-Fominsk, Ulan-Ude and Ussuriysk will be tested. In the second stage, formations and military units from Novorossiysk, Stavropol, Anapa, Feodosia, Ulyanovsk, Kamyshin, Omsk, airborne forces deployed in the Moscow region will be checked. In accordance with the inspection schedule, military units and subunits will be assessed based on the results of control exercises, combat firing, and compliance with the standards for tactical, technical and special training.

In other formations and military units, also within a month, complex commissions will assess the level of training of personnel, as well as the state of the weapons and military equipment, the readiness of formations and military units to carry out measures to bring them to the highest degree of readiness.

In addition, the objects of landfills, rear, military camps and warehouses will be checked.

Control activities of the final check are carried out in accordance with the plan for the preparation of the Airborne Forces and will last until the end of the current month.

The final part of the final check during the training period will be to summarize the work of the complex commissions and assess the ability of units and formations to perform tasks as intended.

Summing up the results of the check will take place under the leadership of the commander of the Airborne Forces during a meeting of the Military Council of the Command of the Airborne Forces at the end of the year.
