The closing ceremony of the forum took place on Saturday, August 29, at the Sverdlovsky training ground. During the forum in the Middle Urals, more than 45 thousand people attended its events over three days.

This year, more than 150 units of new and modernized equipment, which are in service with the troops of the Central Military District, were presented to the attention of Sverdlovsk citizens, which is a third more than last year. Visitors saw the latest modifications of the T-72 tank and the BTR-82A armored personnel carrier, the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, the Mi-24P and Mi-8MTV attack and multi-purpose helicopters, reconnaissance and electronic warfare systems, unmanned aircraft, artillery systems, engineering equipment, etc. …

Within the framework of the Year of Memory and Glory, in order to preserve historical memory and to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, together with the UMMC Museum and the Patriot Military-Patriotic Park of Culture and Leisure, Central Military District, for the first time, a cluster of 15 units that participated in the battles of the Great Patriotic War. The exposition includes, along with the legendary Soviet T-34 tank, the American light tank M3 “Stuart”, which is the most massive in its class, and the medium infantry tank “Matilda” of the British Army. The exhibits also included Soviet light artillery mounts SU-5-2, SU-76M, multiple launch rocket systems BM-8-24 and BM-8-48, armored car BA-10M, American SUV Willys MV.

Also, the forum program provided for a dynamic display of the fire and maneuverability of modern military equipment. Visitors to the forum were able to watch a training battle, which involved armored units, motorized rifle units with the support of Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft, Su-34 multifunctional fighter-bombers and army aviation helicopters.

The organizers of the forum provided everyone with the opportunity to ride in the troop compartment of a modern armored personnel carrier BTR-82A. The attraction turned out to be very popular – over the three days of the forum, more than 1,000 people could feel themselves as members of the crew of an armored personnel carrier. A large children’s play area has been deployed at the forum site, where, in particular, sites for laser tag are presented, trampolines for children and adolescents are installed. Those interested took part in the delivery of the TRP standards.
