Going Green with Deb Aims to Bring the Community into the Climate Change Conversation on Facebook and YouTube

Albuquerque, N.M. – On Saturday, August 8th, Congresswoman Deb Haaland (NM-01) will host the second annual Going Green with Deb event to provide sustainability resources and fun for the community. In light of the pandemic, the event will be hosted virtually on the Congresswoman’s Facebook and YouTube pages. Going Green with Deb is aimed at making sustainability tools accessible to everyone no matter their socioeconomic status or where they live and bringing the community into the climate change conversation. The webinar will feature a number of guest experts who will explore sustainable economies and businesses, climate change activism, and renewable energy. During the event, a raffle for a rain barrel will be held in which the winner must be online to claim.

“Everyone has a role to play in protecting our planet for future generations, and there are many things we can do that are just small adjustments to our everyday lives. Plus we’ll have conversations about bold changes our country can make to create jobs and address climate change,” said Congresswoman Deb Haaland. “I’m excited to build a community conversation around ‘going green’ and make sustainability accessible for everyone.”
