MIL OSI Translation. Government of the Republic of France statements from French to English –

Source: Republic of France in French The French Republic has issued the following statement:

The 71 trainees (65 French and 6 allies) will receive their diplomas in the main courtyard from 11 a.m., during a ceremony marking the culmination of a training course that began in September 2019.
This combined arms training enables operational reservists to occupy a high-level staff position.

This promotion of ESORSEM is called “STONNE 1940”, after the name of a village on the banks of the Meuse, the scene of a combat emblematic of the campaign in France. Its mayor will be present for the occasion, along with a B1 Bis tank, similar to those that took part in the combat, and already honored at the ceremony on July 14, 2020.

24,000 reservists now constitute the Land Operational Reserve. General Burkhard, Army Chief of Staff, made this pool part of his strategic vision, with the ambition of a larger and more autonomous maneuver mass. 860 of them took part in Operation Resilience, in health, logistics or security missions.

Attached to the Command Doctrine and Teaching Center (CDEC), ESORSEM offers 10 internships each year to officers of the operational reserve, but also to executives and active ranks of all armies. These formations are also open to Allied army officers, of which six Nations will be represented at this baptism (Germany, Denmark, United States, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Switzerland).
