In preparation for the international stage of the Marine Assault 2020 competition at the Khmelevka training ground in the Kaliningrad region, the combined team of the Navy continues training in accordance with the Team Training Plan approved by the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy.

The training program was developed by the Main Command of the Navy and approved by the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, taking into account the sports and physical fitness of military personnel, the results of medical examination.

It includes regular training in endurance running, swimming, fire and cross training, as well as driving military vehicles. Drivers of armored vehicles practice driving skills with overcoming various obstacles, such as passing a track bridge or moving on water, and arrows – shooting at targets that simulate both coastal, surface and air targets.

The participants are given daily safety briefings before starting to comply with the standards at the landfill. All performed activities are carried out taking into account the sanitary and epidemiological requirements. Regular disinfection of military equipment and places of stay of military personnel is carried out.

The Main Command of the Navy has been the organizer of the international competition “Amphibious Assault” since 2015.

The competition includes three stages:

Obstacle Course, which determines the best Marine Corps squads;
“Survival trail”, in which teams compete in physical endurance and fire training;
“Relay”, in which the crews of combat vehicles compete in professional skill.

At the “Khmelevka” training ground of the Baltic Fleet there are all the necessary conditions for the three stages of the Competition: “Scout Lane”, “Survival Trail”, “Relay”
