The city budget will lose about 500 billion rubles due to the pandemic. Another 250 billion had to additionally allocate to fight COVID-19.
Pandemic coronavirus has dealt a serious blow to the city budget. About this mayor Sergei Sobyanin said during a live broadcast on the TV channel “Russia 24”.
“Year-end losses will be about 500 billion rubles. In addition, about 250 billion, a quarter of a trillion, we additionally sent both to support businesses, citizens, and questions related to the conversion of the entire health system to fight COVID-19 (opening of new clinics, reconstruction, adaptation, purchase of medicines, salaries of additional doctors, nurses and so on)”, — said Sergey Sobyanin.
But despite the losses of the budget in the capital to fully maintain funding of the social sphere and the key projects of the investment program. And to support the city’s business was taken four package. They relate to the deferral of advance payments, compensation for property tax and land payments, and assistance in lending to small and medium businesses, regardless of type of activities. According to the Mayor, from the budget on these purposes it is allocated more than 85 billion rubles.
“Recently, we made the decision to cancel the revision of the cadastral value, which is calculated real estate taxes on the land. It’s such a significant story due to the fact that the evaluation was conducted at the end of last year and early this. The economic situation was quite different than today,” — said Sergey Sobyanin.
Also during the live broadcast, the Mayor said that stabiliziruemost the situation in the sectors most affected by restrictive measures. The turnover in trade and services has already exceeded 20 percent in the same period last year. However, there has been a shift: for example, people have less to visit the shopping malls and do more online shopping.
“I hope that all city services will be restored. Especially after, when restored tourist flows, the movement in Russia will be more active,” added the Mayor.
The capital is ready to receive tourists, Moscow continues to take restrictive measures. The city already has not only shopping malls, but also cafes, restaurants, hotels. From August 1, will open the cinemas and small concert halls (with a capacity of three thousand people). They can work under the condition that will be filled not more than 50 percent.
