The new entrance will be a two-storey pavilion with white facades and transparent glass doors. Inside will house the ticket office and turnstiles, souvenir shops, cafes, library and educational center. There will be lectures, workshops, thematic meetings. The zoo will be accessible from the second floor. For the convenience of visitors, there are elevators, escalators or stairs with ramps.

A new pedestrian bridge over the Big Georgian street with a height of 12 meters and a length of 22 meters will connect the old territory of the zoo with a new one. Enclosing and supporting structures of the bridge are made of metal, they are painted white. Themselves the fence will make impact-resistant glass. To rise to the new transition will be on the ramps for people with limited mobility equipped with passenger elevators.

The existing pedestrian bridge due to the large number of visitors does not provide the necessary bandwidth.

Pavilion “Pinnipeds” is the old territory of the zoo. The complex includes two outdoor enclosures for the sea lions and walruses, as well as three private sea lions, warm and cold rooms for visitors, the complex of auxiliary facilities, including the Department of treatment facilities. Animals, and visitors will be comfortable in the new pavilion.

“Work plan to complete in the second half of 2021, before the official opening of the 76th annual conference of the world Association of zoos and aquariums,” added Rafiq of Zagrutdinov.
