Held the first working meeting of chief UFSIN of Russia across the Orenburg region Sergey Porshina with the Commissioner for children’s rights in the Orenburg region Anzhelika Linkboy. During the event, the chief regional UFSIN has brought information about the structure and main directions of the penitentiary system of the region, about the conditions of detention of juvenile suspects, defendants and convicts, as well as pregnant women and women with children in prisons region, implementation of complex of measures aimed at ensuring their rights and legitimate interests.

The participants of the meeting discussed the problematic issues that arise during daily work with juvenile suspects, accused and convicted persons in remand prisons, including those relating to the organization of their learning in training and consultation items update library collections agencies and assist in providing sports equipment.

At the end of the working meeting signed the agreement on interaction and cooperation of the Commissioner for children’s rights in the Orenburg region and the regional prison Department on protection of rights and interests of minors on the territory of the Orenburg region.

The parties agreed to join efforts aimed at compliance and restoration of violated rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of juvenile suspects, accused and convicted persons, pregnant women, women with children and men who are the sole parent contained in detention centers and correctional institutions. To address issues is expected to involve human rights organizations, state and public institutions, mass media.

The agreement provides for the joint organization of activities to prevent violations of the rights of minors, their legal education, social rehabilitation and adaptation

During the meeting, the children’s Ombudsman and the head of the FPS discussed issues of further cooperation, agreed to hold joint receptions of citizens and joint visits to detention centers and correctional facilities where juveniles are detained and convicted women, after the removal of quarantine restrictions.
