Havana – “In Cuba, the implementation of the first post-Covid-19 phase has begun gradually. For the Church it was a challenge and at the same time a call to respond and announce the values of the Gospel”, comments Fr. Yosbel Lazo Cordero, National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies . Although the epidemiological situation in Cuba has not had a strong impact as in other parts of the world, “we feel challenged by the sad reality that many countries around the world are experiencing today, affected by this pandemic”. The churches have always remained open for prayer, thus consolidating a conscience more open to charity. Currently liturgical and pastoral celebrations have resumed in the various dioceses of the country, except in Havana, where the post-Covid phase has not yet been reached.
