At the Baikonur cosmodrome continues preparations for the launch of the carrier rocket “Soyuz-2.1 a” with the cargo ship “Progress MS-15”. On Friday, 3 July 2020, professionals Space center “South” (branch of the Center for exploitation of ground space infrastructure at the Baikonur cosmodrome) and space-Rocket center “Progress” (included in the state Corporation “Roskosmos”) has completed mechanical Assembly of the second stage of the launch vehicle.The Assembly is conducted at the technical Center tests, technical complexes, in the Assembly and testing building (MIK) site No. 31. The centre also operates Mickey sites № 254, № 112, № 31, № 2B and ensures work with the component parts of the rockets family “Soyuz-2” transport spacecraft “Soyuz MS and Progress MS”, space vehicles and acceleration blocks. Organization of control and quality of manufacturing operations for the aerospace industry in preparation for the start-up assigned to the Center of the organization and control of testing of rocket and space technology Space center “South”.Start of the carrier rocket “Soyuz-2.1 a” with the cargo ship “Progress MS-15” is scheduled for July 23, 2020 with pad № 31 Baikonur cosmodrome.
