St. Joseph, Mo. – Work to a crosswalk has closed the entrance to The Shoppes at North Village (North Shoppes). Contractors with K & G Striping, working under a permit obtained through the Missouri Department of Transportation, are improving the crosswalk east of Loop 29 (Belt Highway) at the Blackwell Road entrance to the North Shoppes. Drivers are not be able to enter the North Shoppes from the Belt Highway or from eastbound Blackwell.

The work began this morning and the closure will continue through the early morning of Thursday, June 25. This will be an around-the-clock closure of the entrance. Drivers will need to use an alternate entrance to the North Shoppes.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change. Please remember that all work zones are NO PHONE zones. Buckle up. Phone down. Arrive Alive. Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones.
