In Day of memory and grief Sergei Sobyanin laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander garden.

The memory of the fallen in the great Patriotic war observed a minute of silence, anthem of Russia. The ceremony also was attended by the volunteers.

The day of memory and grief is celebrated in Russia on June 22. Carried out in the country, commemorative events, laying wreaths and flowers at the monuments of the great Patriotic war. This year because of the threat of the spread of coronavirus, many events were canceled or postponed.

Parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the great Victory will be held June 24. On 9 may, Moscow hosted the only air show and was given a salute.
