Taking advantage of its concomitant presence with its partners in the u.s. and uk engaged on other missions in the Baltic countries, the French detachment currently deployed within the mission enhanced Air Policing of NATO, has conducted a flight combined over Estonia.
After taking off in “Tango scramble” (training flight), the Mirage 2000-5 French departed from Amari to join a bomber B-52H american to the south-west of the territory of estonia. This last was on a strategic mission to long-distance across Europe and the baltic countries. Rallied by a Typhoon of the Royal Air Force is currently engaged in Lithuania in the framework of the mission, Baltic Air Policing, they flew over together, and for nearly two hours, the baltic sea, the north of Estonia.
