The united nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) announced on Thursday (28.05), a set of guidelines to assist the industry to continue their activities in a safe and sustainable manner. This guide has been produced in consultation with the Committee of the Global Crisis on Tourism, and has as its goal the support of the government and the private sector to recover from the crisis, in addition to restoring the trust and confidence of travellers by means of security protocols. The deputy executive secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Higino de Brito-Vieira, and the international adviser, mr Antonio Ricarte, took part in a meeting of the Committee on the Global Crisis of the public sector, which has resulted in the adoption of the guidelines of the global recovery in the tourism industry.The document, which notes a reduction from 60% to 80% increase in the number of international tourist arrivals in the year 2020 as a result of the multi-COVID-19, and provides guidance in respect of the following matters: the management of the borders secure, and have continued to travel by air, sea and land)
