The Murray-Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) has considered the findings and recommendations of the SDL accounting ‘health check’ – independent panel review. The SDL Accounting Improvement Strategy addresses the issues raised in the review.
This Strategy describes how the identified risks will be addressed and the priorities they will be given over the three tranches from 2020 to 2025. It is a dynamic and adaptive strategy in which activities may be re-prioritised to reflect changes in legislation, as well as stakeholder, process and environmental needs.
The MDBA will work with Basin state governments and other relevant stakeholders to implement the improvement activities in the Strategy. The MDBA has committed to reporting on its implementation at the end of each of the three tranches.
