The Foreign Ministry, on behalf of the National Government, rejects the claims that have been made since the dictatorial regime of Nicolás Maduro trying to blame our country for alleged destabilization events, which rather constitute attempts to divert attention from the real problems that the people of Venezuela live, through the customary strategy of that illegitimate regime of seeking external debates and distractors in moments of internal crisis.

Colombia rejects the statements of the spokesman of the dictatorial regime, Néstor Reverol, about an alleged attempt to “invade by sea a group of terrorist mercenaries from Colombia, who tried to enter speedboats along the coasts of the State of La Guaira”, in a point located more than 490 kilometers from the closest coast point in Colombia. It is an unfounded accusation, which attempts to commit the Colombian Government to a speculative plot.

We call on the International Community to reject this type of accusation and to be aware of the repeated attempts by the dictator Maduro to commit us to false versions of alleged acts of force.
