Implementation of the pedagogical continuity in French Polynesia
The Director-general of the education and lessons, Thierry Delmas, and the acting Vice-president of French Polynesia, Stéphane Le Ray, presented, Thursday afternoon, the feature of educational continuity implemented from 6 April during the confinement in French Polynesia.
A point of situation will be sent this Thursday, 2 by all means of communication possible to parents in order to clarify the terms and conditions of this pedagogical continuity. It is necessary to remember the following :
The main objective of this pedagogic continuity is to maintain the link between the student and his school, his college or his or her high school. To maintain the link with the school means that the child has every day at regular hours have of educational activities and sports. The longer it will maintain these activities for a learner, the greater the return to the classroom after the crisis will be easy.
This link with his school should be by all possible means, primarily the internet but also by telephone when the equipment families do not allow to do otherwise.
The resources are numerous : the booklets were developed by the inspectors and their teams for the 1st degree, and course materials designed by the teachers of the children in college and high school, digital resources on the internet such as the NCA, the broadcasts of radio stations, publications of the written press, the television programs produced by the DGEE currently broadcast and the national emissions (Lumni).
The children will all have access to at least one of these resources. The key is that the student continues to have activities of a learner through these resources, whether from their school or institution, or any other digital resources, from the written press, radio or television.
Families need to be reassured. The ministry of Education, youth and sports and the Vice-rectorate are aware of the difficulties and the disparity of access to resources especially for students in more isolated locations. Everything will be implemented after the crisis, the return to the classroom to assist all students so that the skills expected by the end of the year are acquired.
The students enrolled in the class examinations should also be reassured. French Polynesia will apply the adaptation measures decided at national level for all the exams. Such a crisis is a new situation and everything will be done to ensure that students are not penalized.
