Only 1% of companies operating in the agri-food industry in Romania use industrial robots, compared with the European average of 7%. The best performing countries in this area are Sweden, with an average of around 31%, the Netherlands (with around 22%), Denmark (with around 16%) and Slovenia (with 10%). Romania is in last place regarding the use of robots in the agri-food sector in the EU.

In Romania, 75% of agri-food companies believe that they do not have the necessary digital expertise and only 38% are trying to develop this area.
