Today, March 5 Oceanographic research vessel “Admiral Vladimir” has arrived on a business call in Montevideo (Uruguay), where the ship will restock to the required standards, and the crew will have the opportunity of relaxing on the shore.

Approach of the OIC “Admiral Vladimir” in Montevideo will last until 9 March, after which the ship will go back to the shores of Antarctica for the conduct of Oceanographic research of the seas. The crew healthy, hardware and hydrographic equipment are operating normally and provide round-the-world expedition. This was reported to the Commander of the Russian Navy Admiral Nikolai Evmenov head of world expedition on the Board of the OIC “Admiral Vladimir” captain 1st rank Oleg Osipov.

Oceanographic research vessel “Admiral Vladimir” is on the approved route circumnavigation of the Navy, dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the discovery of Antarctica by Russian sailors and to the 250th anniversary from the birthday of I. F. Kruzenshtern. Expedition the Chief command of the Russian Navy, was launched in December 2019 and will last until June.

In the Center of the Russian geographical society under the Main command of the Navy of Russia (St. Petersburg) analyses the data round-the-world expedition of the Oceanographic research vessel “Admiral Vladimir” coming every day to the Admiralty.

The chief of the Russian Navy Admiral Nikolai Evmenov has set the task to carefully analyze all the stages of the world expedition, which in its scope and significance is a worthy continuation of the activities of the Navy of Russia for the study of the oceans.
