A detachment of ships of the Baltic fleet consisting of the patrol ship “Yaroslav the Wise”, the tanker “Yelnya” and sea tug “Victor Konetsky”, located in the long March, continues to perform tasks in the Indian ocean.

The crew of the “Yaroslav the Wise” in the framework of the campaign fulfills the elements of the course tasks at sea, the ship conducts training of combat crews and exercises damage control.

During a routine combat training mission the crew carried out the replenishment of water and fuel from the sea tanker “Yelnya” on the route of transition of the Wake way.

In turn, a division of counter-terrorism was held training for the attack on the detachment of the conventional terrorist groups. Currently on Board the patrol ship and tanker are a specially trained group of Marines from the composition of connections of Marines of the Baltic fleet.


A detachment of ships of the Baltic fleet, performing routine tasks of the far hike, left the Military Harbor of Baltiysk October 1, 2019 and headed into the Indian ocean. In December of 2019 squad took part in the naval part of the Russian-Indian exercise “INDRA-2019”, the trilateral exercises with China and Iran “Maritime security Zone” in the Russian-Japanese anti-piracy doctrine orientation. Currently, the “Yaroslav the Wise” continues to carry out the tasks of the anti-piracy watch in the Indian ocean.
