Pacaraima and Boa Vista (RR), 17/02/2020 – Aware of the situation in the world, and in order to prepare for the risks associated with the COVID-a 19-a disease that is caused by a new coronavirus, the Operation Reception was held in the second week of February, with a professional training with his staff to deal with any possible cases of the disease.

At first, the health care professionals who make up the personnel of the Operation have received training from the Agency of Health Surveillance (ANVISA). After that statement, that they acted as facilitators by training the military and civilian personnel who are employed in the shelters and on the posts of the support to migrants and refugees in venezuela, in the cities of Boa Vista and Pacaraima, in the state of Roraima, in order to identify and address, as appropriate, for patients that are suspected of contamination by a coronavirus.

In this way, the Operation Reception operates in an integrated fashion with the Ministry of Health, who has conducted the daily monitoring of the situation of the coronavirus in the country, with the World Health Organization.
