In the project Active citizen finished voting on the new stage of development of libraries of Moscow. Citizens choose, what clubs and creative studios need to organize in the capital’s reading rooms. The vote was attended by 203 679 people. Of these, only 9.24 percent of the participants are not interested in the development of the city reading rooms.
All directions are divided into four categories. The most popular among them was the category of “Information technology, computer literacy, intellectual games”. It was voted 27.76 percent of the people. Second and third place in the category of “Film, photography, fine arts” (22.99 percent) and educational areas (of 22.60 percent). New mugs in vocal, choreography, theater and music supported 17.40 percentage of “active citizens”.

Almost a third voted for this direction is chosen mug computer literacy (27.67 percent of people). Of them section of robotics supported 17.07 percent of participants, the Studio of scientific-technical creativity liked 14.86 percentage of “active citizens”. Theatre arts chose 16.12 percent human and aesthetic development — 13.84 percent of the vote. Mugs arts and crafts completing the top five leaders in this direction — they 12.86% of the votes.
Mugs future journalists chose of 11.80 percent of the people. Undecided 0.81 percent. Also active citizens offered their own versions. They often wrote about the fact that libraries often need to arrange master-classes of representatives of the film industry, meetings with famous photographers and artists.
Scientific and educational direction
Clubs for the study of foreign languages has become the most popular option in this category. Voted for them 19.45 percentage of “active citizens”. Mugs on the history and lore interesting 14.35 percent of participants. Psychology topic chose of 11.40 percent, and the basics of a healthy lifestyle — 11.04 percent. Scientific and educational direction was supported by 10.76 per cent of the people.
The other options received less than ten percent of the votes. For example, the literary direction (9.72 percent), civil-Patriotic education (9.04 percent), environmental education (8.97 percent), socio-pedagogical direction (4.43 percent). Undecided 0.68 percent. About 400 people have submitted their proposals. In particular, we had the idea to organize the circles of natural Sciences, engineering clubs and courses in the fundamentals of jurisprudence.
“Music, singing, choreography and theatre”
New mugs for the playing of musical instruments voted 23,30 percent of people for mugs theater arts — 21.53 percent. Third and fourth place studios vocals (18.76%) and group choreography (18.54 percent).
Another 6.41% of the votes from ensembles of folk dance, 5.20 percent from ensembles of folk singing and 4.73% of participants supported the idea of sections of circus arts. Reform of the Metropolitan libraries 2015 started with a crowdsourcing project “My library”. In it have taken part more than 11 thousand residents. They filed more than 5.5 thousands of ideas for improving and modernizing the capital’s reading rooms. Citizens proposed to expand access audiobooks, to carry out actions for the exchange of books (bookcrossing), deliver the publication to the house of disabled people to remotely learn about the utilization of reading rooms and many more. Most of these ideas were implemented.
For example, from 2016 all 440 libraries of Moscow has moved to a unified schedule. In all the reading rooms now have a local Wi-Fi and more than 330 institutions connected to the unified citywide Wi-Fi network. This allows users to log in to the network only once.
Last year 52 regional libraries the Moscow Department of culture have become thematic. The upgrade took place in the framework of “growth Points” of the Moscow Department of culture. It was created for libraries with a deficiency of the audience. City reading room turned into a cultural venue dedicated to science, art, and various arts and Hobbies (e.g., comics, design, crafts, Ethnography, and high technology). Each of them now unique design, name and a certain book Fund.
The project “Active citizen” appeared in 2014. Its members have become 2.6 million people. For five years, more than four thousand votes, sold more than three thousands of Muscovites.
