Today on the margins of the 33rd African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met with the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Jugnauth.
The leaders spoke of Canada and Mauritius’ strong collaboration in the education sector, with Prime Minister Trudeau welcoming the growing number of Mauritians who have chosen to study in Canada, which has further deepened people-to-people ties between the two countries.
The Prime Ministers agreed to work together to strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations.
Prime Minister Trudeau and Prime Minister Jugnauth discussed their shared commitment to human rights, governance, women’s empowerment and climate action, and looked forward to further cooperation in those areas.
