You are a eu citizen living in France ? Do you have the right to vote in municipal elections on 15 and 22 march 2020 ? What are the conditions ? How do I register ?
As a national of a country of the european Union, you have the right to vote in municipal elections on 15 and 22 march 2020, provided they have at least 18 years of age at the 14 march, I live in France and have your civil and political rights.
Your voter registration is not automatic. You have to register on the electoral lists French complementary to your place of residence not later than Friday, February 7, 2020.
You will be able to have more time and sign up to march 5, 2020 if :
you will be 18 years between 7 February and 14 march
Attention : as of the effective withdrawal of the United Kingdom outside the european Union, british nationals residing in France can no longer vote in municipal elections.

How do I register ?
You can request to be registered :
only on the additional electoral roll of the municipal elections. You will then be able to vote in France only for municipal elections
To register, you have 3 solutions :
– the online service with the digital version of a proof of identity and proof of address) to be accessed with an account Service-public.fr or via France Connect
– an e-mail (the postmark authentic), by sending to the mairie of your commune a photocopy of your proof of identity and proof of address as well as the registration request form completed
– on-site, in the town hall presenting a piece of identity, proof of address and the registration request form completed.
