President Ashraf Ghani met with Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia on the sideline of the World Economic Forum 2020 today in Davos, Switzerland.
Both sides exchanged views on Afghanistan’s peace process as well as the efforts made by other countries, particularly Saudi Arabia to highlight the role of Ulama – Islamic clerics – in the process.
They also discussed mutual cooperation on exchanging information over regional terrorist networks and de-escalation of tensions in the region.
The two sides also talked over expansion of bilateral economic cooperation. Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud said Afghanistan is crucial for Saudi Arabia and the country would continue to support the government and people of Afghanistan.
