Thames Valley Police is releasing CCTV images of men officers would like to speak to in relation to an incident of grievous bodily harm which occurred in Reading.

At 4am on Sunday 1 December, a 21-year-old man was punched in the face by an offender following a verbal altercation in St Mary’s Butts, near the Pizza Express restaurant.

Following the victim being punched, two more offenders then assaulted the victim. One of these offenders is believed to have been in possession of a weapon.

The victim sustained cut injuries to his head and neck, and was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Officers are now releasing CCTV images of men who may have vital information regarding the incident.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Hugh Bailey, of Reading police station, said: “I am releasing these images to the public in the hope that someone will recognise any of the men pictured. I believe they may have vital information relating to this incident.

“If anyone recognises them, I would urge you to get in touch with Thames Valley Police to make a report.
