Notice to the media

Longueuil (Quebec), November 12, 2019 — The campaign Astronauts juniors from the canadian space Agency (CSA) is in full swing! Presented during the school year 2019-2020, the campaign allows young people in the 6th year of primary school to 3rd year of secondary school (from the 6th to the 9th year outside of Quebec) to put their knowledge and their skills to the test and discover what it takes to become an astronaut.

More than 700 teachers, educators and leaders of youth groups across Canada are already registered. We encourage you to find a participating group in your region using our interactive map!

About the campaign

Thirty-eight activities designed to be offered in schools and youth organizations are presented on the Web site of the AUC, in the portal Astronauts juniors.
The campaign includes the possibility of win the visit from an astronaut or an expert in the field space in the spring of 2020 (visits will take place in each province and territory).
All will culminate in the summer of 2020 when young people from across Canada will have the chance to participate in a training camp with astronauts, scientists and engineers at the ASC!
