Thames Valley Police is appealing for information following a serious injury collision which occurred on the M40 in Oxfordshire.

The incident took place yesterday (9/11) at about 2.30pm between J9 and J8A on the southbound carriageway.

A silver BMW One Series left the carriageway and rolled into a ditch.

The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old man, sustained serious head injuries and was taken to hospital where he remains at this time.

No one else was in the vehicle at the time and no arrests have been made in connection with this incident.

Investigating officer PC Neil Bowker of the Roads Policing Unit based at Bicester said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw this incident, or who has any information relating to it.
