Chamber modified projects in table by situation that affects the country

Published on October 22, 2019

By agreement of the committees of the Chamber of Deputies, this morning the changes that the table of sessions will have will be announced. The 40-hour project and a summons to the Interior Minister were part of the agreements.

The facts that affect our country, without a doubt, had repercussions on the legislative work of the Chamber of Deputies. During the day of Tuesday 22, the agreement of the committees was to cancel the discussion of the project (bulletin 12.212) that modifies the pension system and to debate the project that modifies the labor code to reduce the working day to 40 hours ( bulletin 11,179).

Originally, the project that reduces the working day was on a table for a special session on Wednesday 23 during the afternoon. The agreement states that this project will be voted in general in the session on Thursday, October 24.

In addition, it was agreed to quote Interior Minister Andrés Chadwick on Wednesday 23, in order to give an account of the emergency situation in Chile.

Along with this, it was determined to authorize the commissions to meet this Tuesday in the first block of time, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and to those of the second block as long as they can advance their sessions at 3:30 p.m. .
