Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias will travel to the Vatican on Wednesday, 23 October, to be received by Pope Francis.

He will also have talks with the Substitute of the Secretariat of State of the Vatican, Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra, and with the Secretary for Relations with States, Archbishop Paul Richard Callagher.

The talks will focus on bilateral relations and regional and international issues, such as developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Balkans, and the migration issue.

Finally, on the same day, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will address the NATO Defence College in Rome, on Greece’s foreign policy, its role in NATO, and confronting challenges in Southern Europe.
