MIL OSI-C. Mediterranean Region: Portugal

The Administrative Court of the Lisbon Circle ruled that the injunction required by the Order of Nurses (OE) against the Ministry of Health in the context of the investigation process determined to the OE on April 16 was dismissed.

It is recalled that the General Inspection of Health Activities (IGAS) initiated the investigation on April 29, and the OE reacted with the injunction request, admitted on May 6, with the purpose of suspending the effectiveness of this investigation. .

On May 8, the Minister of Health presented to the Court a reasoned resolution, in order to safeguard the superior public interest, which allowed IGAS to immediately follow up on the investigation of the OE.

The ruling now known confirms the legitimacy of the inquiry determined by the Minister of Health, pronouncing the lack of grounds that made it impossible to perform.
