Tests surf of the Olympic Games 2024 : application for the nomination of French Polynesia
French Polynesia, a community leader and candidate host events surf of the Olympic Games 2024, has officially submitted its candidature file, thus respecting the deadline of September 30, noon Paris time.
It is an honor and a pride for our country, a “nation” for sport, 77,000 licensees, or 27% of the population, and single candidates overseas to apply to participate in the organization of an olympic event of surfing, which will be a date.
Land of origin and cradle of the discipline, the surf is an integral part of the DNA of the territory and of the Polynesians, of which the best-known symbol in the world is the mythical site of Teahupoo.
It is therefore quite natural that the French Polynesia offers, through its application, a unique opportunity to the nation to organize, for the 2nd time in the history of the discipline, an olympic event snowboarding in the heart of its origins in a unique, preserved and authentic.
The government is grateful to all people involved in sport, community and institutional, who have contributed to make every effort to communicate the strengths of French Polynesia in the field of surfing and home of competitive sport at a high level.
