The Vice-president of French Polynesia, president of the Board of directors of TNAD, Teva Rohfritsch, has signed, on Monday afternoon, an agreement of project management delegation with the minister of Education, youth and sports, Christelle Lehartel.
Under the leadership of the Vice-president, the Institute of youth and sports of French Polynesia (IJSPF), in its capacity of prime contractor, has awarded the hotel Tahiti Nui Planning and Development (TNAD), the management and the follow-up studies for the construction of a pole of combat within a sports complex of Punaru’u.
All combat sports, such as the noble art, the traditional martial arts (Judo, Taekwondo, etc), or the more modern sport of self-defense or even the ” mixed martial arts “, currently scattered in different structures, will soon be gathered in one place suitable.
In order to promote all contact sports and self-defense to the youth polynesian, the Country wished to achieve a work dedicated and centralized so that each discipline can be practiced in the best conditions of training and coaching.
A total area of 1800 m2, the construction of this public facility is estimated to be 530 million Fcfp, and its delivery is scheduled for 2022.
