250.Anniversary of the City of Dili

On the 10th day of October, 2019, we celebrate the 250.Anniversary of the fundacão in the City of Dili, Capital of Timor-Leste.

Even though the city is not to be deemed to be, pursuant to the terms of Article 14 of the Constitution of the Democratic Republic of east Timor, a national landmark, as is the case with the national flag, the national emblem and the national anthem is, on the one hand, a symbol of Independence and National development, for the majority of the country’s citizens and foreign visitors.

The data referring to the beginning of the construction of the city, and it is therefore a very good example and a benchmark for thinking about the processes of construction, land use planning, urban planning, and in favor of the city in which you want each and every time a more humane, sustainable, and eco-friendly in line with international best practices.
