TWO Leicester landmarks will be turning pink and blue this week as the city marks Baby Loss Awareness Week.

From Wednesday (9 October), the city council’s headquarters at City Hall will be lit up in pink, while the Town Hall will be bathed in blue lights.

The annual event is an opportunity for bereaved families to remember their babies who died during pregnancy, at birth or in infancy – and highlights the support available to those affected by the loss of a baby.

In Leicester, help for anyone affected by the loss of a baby is available from local charity Sands, while bereavement support is also available from the Lullaby Trust
