The meeting of the Council of Ministers on the 2nd of November 2019

The Council of Ministers met at the Palace of Government in Dili, and assisted in the presentation of the Minister of Defence, Filomeno da Paixão de Jesus on the plan for the development of the Harbour from the Water. The project aims to transform it into a Military Port of the reference, and it provides for the establishment of a pier, the facilities for repair, maintenance, and storage, and also for the construction of the Headquarters of the Command, the navy’s National Maritime administration (AMN).

The Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak, has submitted a proposal to the Government Resolution, which was approved by the Council of Ministers, relating to the renewal of the term of office of the members of the board of the Archive and Museum of Timorese Resistance, IP (AMRT). Whereas, the members of the board of the AMRT shall be appointed by the Council of Ministers, upon the proposal of the Prime Minister, after consulting the President of the Republic for a term of four years, renewable energy sources, and that both the Government and the President of the Republic, to make a positive assessment of the work carried out by the members, the Government has decided to renew the terms of office of the members of the board of the AMRT.

The Council of Ministers has approved the Resolution of the Government relating to reservation in favour of the Timor-Gap – Timor Gas

The ministry of Planning and Strategic Investment, Agio Pereira, the National Procurement Commission presented two proposals related to the procurement process in advance, and the amendment to the contract for the upgrade of the broadband services. The proposal will be discussed at a future meeting of the Council of Ministers.

The Council of Ministers approved the final draft of the General Budget of the State for the year 2020, with a total amount of $ 1.95 billion, in order to meet the needs of the program, and the national priorities set out by the VIII Constitutional Government. This value 241,271 million is for wages and salaries, 738,428 million in goods and services, 457,773 million for public transfers, 53,267 for the capital, and, finally, 459,260 million for the capital development of the project.
