WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced today the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development (RD) approved a grant of $118,000 for the City of Reeder to finance sewer system improvements.
Reeder is located in the Southwest Rural Economic Area Partnership Zone. Several areas of town have sewer pipes that have significant blockage from roots or debris, offset joints, cracks, and holes. With the completion of this project- which will replace the most deteriorated and damaged sewer pipe segments- the city will be able to continue to provide sanitary sewer services and avoid major system failures in the future. In addition to the grant, RD also approved a loan of $182,000 for the same improvements.
