A second person has been arrested as officers investigate the death of a 15-year-old boy in Slough.

Yesterday at about 6.30pm officers were called to Salt Hill Park after the victim had sustained a stab wound.

A murder investigation was launched and earlier today (22/9) a 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody.

This afternoon, a second 15-year-old boy has also been arrested on suspicion of murder, and has also been taken into police custody.

Formal identification of the victim is yet to take place and a post mortem is scheduled for later today. His family are being supported by specially trained officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Shearwood of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit said: “This remains a fast paced investigation, and a second boy has now been arrested in connection with it.

“There continues to be an increased police presence in Slough, and anyone with any questions or concerns is encouraged to talk to our officers.

“I would like to reiterate my appeal for anyone with any details about this incident to get in touch. We are continuing to gather information, and you could have evidence vital to our investigation.

“Anyone with any information should call us on 101, quoting reference number 1240 21/9.”
