From September 23 to October 6 in Moscow parks will host the “Protect your pet”, timed to the world day against rabies. Its main goal — prevention of this dangerous disease and informing citizens about its implications. These days in city parks will be on duty machine veterinary care, where residents will be able to make your pet a rabies vaccination. There will be over 40 additional mobile and fixed vaccination points.

Educational event

The campaign in educational institutions is lectures. Children will learn about the history of the disease, its main features and pathways. Veterinarians explain what animals have rabies and the rabbits helped to deal with it. Children learn about the treatment of domesticated and wild animals.

Lectures will be held in the universities — Moscow state Academy of veterinary medicine and biotechnology named after K. I. Skryabin and the Russian University of friendship of peoples. Students will talk about how in Moscow organized work for the prevention of rabies.

The popularity of this event grows. In 2017 were vaccinated 1200 Pets, and attended the lectures of 530 people. In 2018, the grafted pet was already more than three thousand, and came for the classes 3300 students.

Where will take action

To vaccinate pet will be in ten Metropolitan green areas — parks “Sokolniki”, “vidradne”, “Angarsk ponds”, “Gardeners”, “Krasnaya Presnya” in the Park of the Olympic village, Perovsky Park in parks “Hope” and named after Fyodor Poletayev and also in Biruliovsky arboretum.

Free to vaccinate a pet can be in 28 units of the state veterinary service. They are located in all Metropolitan districts.
