The exhibition “The carp turns into a dragon” represented by only one painting, but a very famous and valuable. This is the work of Chinese artist Qi Have Dating back to the XVIII century. Earlier painting in the private collection of historian and diplomat, academician Sergei Tikhvinsky. He decided to donate it to the Museum of the East.

The painting “Carps turning into dragon” is an example of classic Chinese painting, it is written in the genre of “insects and mushrooms” (chunhui). The painting depicts a large fish that jumped out of the water. In the upper right corner, the author left his signature.
