DelBene Concludes ‘Suzan Shows Up’ Tour of the Region
Bothell, W.A., September 8, 2019 Today, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) concluded her ‘Suzan Shows Up’ summer district work period tour with a town hall in Redmond, where she heard from dozens of constituents on the issues that matter most to them and how she can better represent them when she returns to D.C. next week. “The summer district work period always passes so quickly,” said DelBene. “Through town halls in Point Roberts, Lake Stevens, and Redmond, and over 65 meetings and events throughout the region over the last month, I have heard from hundreds of constituents and learned more about their top issues for Congress to address when we are back in session. I am fortunate to represent such an active and engaging district, and I will continue to work hard to represent their interests in D.C.” DelBene held a total of three town halls, attended five round table discussions, and met with representatives from medical centers, hospitals, law enforcement, transportation agencies, nonprofits, veterans, government agencies, advocacy groups, and more. DelBene also made press appearances to highlight her Affordable Housing Credit Improvement Act and support Planned Parenthood’s decision to withdraw from Title X.
