The gates will open for the 2019 31st Dundee Flower and Food Festival this morning at 10:00am.
Thousands of people are expected to flock to Camperdown Park for the three-day festival, the premier event of its kind in Scotland.
Festival-goers will have the chance to see Carole Baxter and George Anderson from Beechgrove Garden. Also in attendance are MasterChef winners and finalists Gary MacLean, Jilly McCord, Jamie Scott and Dean Banks.
Children’s activities, such as Bumble Buddies and Ultra Dance, will take place throughout the weekend.
Additionally, a range of food & flower competitions will be on show. This will include the prestigious British Begonia 12 Board Championship and over 700 competitive classes of flowers, food, wine, baking and handicrafts.
Dundee City Council’s Convener of Neighbourhood Services Councillor Anne Rendall visited Camperdown Country Park to see how things were shaping up.
Dundee City Council’s neighbourhood services apprentices were among a large crew busy getting the show ground ready.
Councillor Anne Rendall said: “It was great to see the hard work being put in to the festival paying off. The festival is larger than ever so the support from everyone who has made it possible has never been more important.
“There’s a great amount for everyone to experience at this year’s event. With the range of activities and competitions on show I know they will appeal to a wide audience. I can safely say visitors are in for a treat.”
