06.09.2019 From Thursday 16 January to Sunday 19 January 2020, the youth participant-e-s to the Action of 72 hours will be invited to implement projects that are sustainable and useful to the public throughout the township, in 72 hours chrono ! These projects will be realized in the framework of youth associations, cultural or sporting, or by informal groups. January 16, 2020 will mark the beginning of an extraordinary adventure for more than 20’000 children and young people under the age of 26 years in the whole of Switzerland. Inspired by the 17 the objectives of Agenda 2030 for a sustainable development these young people will have exactly 72 hours to complete volunteer their own projects of public utility. Whether the manufacture of hives to install in the city, a communication action on overfishing, or the organization of a sports career in working with people with reduced mobility, any project can be envisaged, provided that it has a goal of solidarity, and/or sustainable. The approach enables to highlight the contribution of children and young people in the world that surrounds them. It makes visible the voluntary work carried out in youth organisations and promote its recognition. How to participate ?The young major-e-s-old-e-s with less than 26 years of age can sign up in October as group leader on the site of Action of 72 hours to provide the first information prior to registering the project and other participant-e-s (up to 25 years) in a second time. In addition, any person may support young people in carrying out their projects, notably by sponsoring one of the groups. To do this, it is enough to register as a volunteer with the delegate of the canton of youth, Sophie Neuhaus (email@example.com). It will then set the godfathers and godmothers in connection with the youth teams which have announced that they need help to develop or implement their projects. Radio 72 : young reporters moving to cover the événementEn collaboration with the Radioschule Klipp Klang, partner of the event, young people from-e-s from the three linguistic regions of Switzerland will be formed-e-s in the trades of radio : twenty young reporters moving through the territory in pairs, by conducting interviews of those involved to realize various projects. At the same time, other peers will relay the information to the studio, Bern, and provide for the dissemination of interviews, musical moments, the needs and offers of services made through the phone line. Any person motivated to face the challenge can send their application until 15th of September (radio72). The youth organisations at the centre of the attentionCoordonnée at the cantonal level by the service of protection of the adult and the youth (SPAJ), the Action 72 hours is a project of youth organisations swiss, led by the Swiss Council for Youth Activities SNYC. It is held every five years since 2005, and was organized for the first time in the Canton of Neuchâtel in 2015. During this last edition, nearly 25’000 children and young people throughout Switzerland have participated in volunteer projects.
