Vice President of Namibia Nangolo Mbumba will visit Finland on 8–10 September on Prime Minister Antti Rinne’s invitation. In Helsinki Vice President Mbumba will meet Prime Minister Rinne to talk about bilateral cooperation between Namibia and Finland. He will also meet the President of the Republic of Finland Sauli Niinistö and President Martti Ahtisaari.The topics to be discussed include bilateral relations between Finland and Namibia, great global challenges that unite Africa and Europe such as climate change, international and regional questions, and Finland’s Presidency of the Council of the EU. The visit is part of the Finnish Government’s efforts towards closer relations with African countries and also involving Finnish companies even more closely in the cooperation.
